Cookie Policy

Draft for legal review. Keeta Workspace prepared this draft, and it has not yet been reviewed by counsel. Text in [square brackets] needs a decision from counsel. Remove this note when the document is published.

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage that Keeta, Inc. (Keeta) uses on keeta.ai and in Keeta Workspace (app.keeta.ai and eu.app.keeta.ai). It adds to our Privacy Policy.

1. In short

  • Workspace uses only cookies and storage it needs to work: keeping you signed in, protecting sign-in, and remembering a few choices. It uses no advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
  • keeta.ai sets no cookies of its own. If we measure visits to the website or test versions of it, our analytics and testing providers set cookies only after you allow them.

2. Workspace (strictly necessary)

These are needed for the service you asked for, so they don't need consent. They are first-party, HttpOnly where they hold a session, and never used for advertising.

Name What it does How long
ws_session Keeps you signed in to Workspace 30 days, or until you sign out
ws_oauth_state, ws_next Protects a Google or identity provider sign-in from forgery, and returns you to where you were Minutes, during sign-in
ws_tool_flow Protects connecting a tool such as GitHub or Slack Minutes, while connecting
ws_operator, ws_operator_state Keeta staff only: the separate operator console session and its sign-in Up to 8 hours

Workspace also keeps two things in your browser's local storage, which never leave your device unless you act on them:

Key What it does How long
Referral code A referral link's code, so it can fill in when you create an organization 30 days
Recent searches Your last searches in Command K, per organization Until you clear them

3. keeta.ai

keeta.ai's own pages set no cookies. When the website runs analytics or tests, it keeps your answer to the cookie notice (Allow or No thanks) in your browser's local storage, so it doesn't ask again.

Analytics and website tests (only with your consent). We may measure visits to the website with Google Analytics (Google LLC, United States), and test which version of the website works best with Coframe (Coframe, Inc., United States), which may show you a different version of a page. When either is on, a notice asks whether you allow cookies. Only if you choose Allow does Google Analytics load and set its cookies, and Coframe set its cookies, holding anonymous visitor IDs, and record the pages you view, what you click and which version of a test you saw. Google and Coframe process this for Keeta as our processors. We don't use Google Analytics for advertising: its advertising features and ad storage stay off. If you choose not to allow cookies, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics doesn't load and neither sets cookies. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookies link in the website's footer.

Name Set by What it does How long
keeta-cookies (local storage) keeta.ai Your answer to the cookie notice Until you clear it
_ga, ga[property] Google Analytics, after you allow it An anonymous visitor ID, so visits can be counted 2 years
[Coframe cookie names] Coframe, after you allow it An anonymous visitor ID, so you see the same version of a test and results can be counted [duration]

[Counsel: confirm Coframe's cookie names and lifetimes once it is configured, and that Keeta has accepted Google's data processing terms for Google Analytics with data sharing turned off.]

4. Managing cookies

Your browser lets you see and delete cookies, and block them. Blocking Workspace's necessary cookies will stop you from signing in. For more, see your browser's help pages.

5. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the cookies we use change. Questions: support@keeta.ai.
